The association is always looking for owner input and help. You can participate in a number of ways in this regard.

We will take time to discuss matters brought to our attention at a Board meeting. In you have an interest in serving as a volunteer, please advise the Board in writing. Please see the descriptions of our committees and committee member list here on this site. The Board also has a number of special projects each year that require the help of volunteers for painting, repairing and winterizing/de-winterizing our facilities and common areas.

Architecture Design

The Architectural Design Committee advises the Board of Directors and homeowners on all matters pertaining to home building, architectural design and improvements, repairs, remodels or home upgrades, paint colors, roof replacements, fencing, decks, outbuildings and landscaping. The ADC’s primary goal is to facilitate the application process for home building to assure the guidelines and regulations are followed during the application process and before making a recommendation to the Board of Directors for approval. More importantly, the ADC must ensure that plans for homebuilding are compatible with the  site and overall CVE environment and will protect adjacent property owners’ views. The ADC may recommend changes and/or improvements to modify and update architecture design and review guidel

The Compliance Committee is responsible for monitoring owner compliance will CC&Rs and Association rules, receiving owner complaints and responding according to Board operating protocols.

Facilities

The Facilities Committee will monitor and change access codes and cards as required. The Committee is also responsible for maintenance and upkeep of restrooms (other than regular cleanings during the summer), pool decks, parking lots, the swim dock, shade shelters, fencing and other CVE facilities.

Landscape - Common areas

The Landscape Committee coordinates with local suppliers to maintain the CVE-HOA common areas to a high quality standard that enhances the value of the community. The Committee is allocated an annual budget to perform all landscaping maintenance, beautification and any upgrades. Included in their statement of work is the upgrading of the HOA’s common entry areas. This work has been temporarily placed on hold pending completion of State Highway 150 modifications.

Marina

The Marina Committee is responsible to overseeing all activities, upkeep and maintenance of the CVE-HOA marina. Responsibilities include monitoring vessel insurance and licensing requirements, safety considerations, and creating a yearly budget for marina operations.

Pools

The pools are open from early May until the first of October.

The Pool Committee’s primary responsibility is to oversee pool maintenance and upkeep along with the updating and posting of pool rules. The Committee is responsible for monitoring the pools for hazards, broken or damaged equipment, fixtures and furniture and will work with the Board of Directors to authorize repairs and/or replacement of damaged or worn equipment. They also oversee the cleaning of the pool restrooms and routing pool maintenance during summer months. The Committee is also responsible for scheduling and monitoring large group meetings at the pools

Social

The primary purpose of the Social Committee is to organize special and regular events such as gatherings, pickleball events, and others as desired. The Committee will keep the Board of Directors informed as to the scheduling of events and any expenses required.

Weed Abatement & Fire Wise
